On Saturday, Mzuni FC emerged as the Northern Region Presidential Cup champions after beating Super Eagles 5-4 in post-match penalties at Mzuzu stadium.
The game saw the two sides tied at 1-1 in regulation time, with all the goals scored in the second half of the game.
Chawanangwa Kaonga gave Super Eagles the lead after receiving a header from Peter Kasonga in the 56th minute. Lughindiko Mushani equalized for Mzuni FC in the 79th minute, shortly after substitute Nelson Kawawa of Super Eagles was shown a straight red card in the 78th minute for assaulting a Mzuni FC player and forcing the game into post-match penalties.
In penalty shoot-outs, Mzuni FC converted all of the five.
